today is not my day
today is that guy rob’s last day at our office. he is going to new york to work for some superstar architect. i am happy for him even though they will work him like a teenage prostitute in bangkok. here he is repping c.u. at duffy’s on monday night while the saints were spanking the falcons. keep your ears to the blog because there will probably be happy hour friday in his honor. here’s to you rob. we expect guest posts from nyc, hopefully titled ‘flex in the city’ with you making muscle builder poses on broadway.
on top of losing rob, last night baker assaulted my self esteem on the tennis courts in grant park. i wont tell you the scores cause they were embarrassing. has anyone seen my tennis game? i know i left it around here somewhere…. if you see it call me.
then on the way to the WP on my bike i got actually assaulted by a crack head on milwaukee avenue just north of augusta. i was biking home and some crazy lady was crossing the street in front of me. when she got to my side of the street she stopped and slapped me in the face as i rode by. no joke. i have scratches from her rings or something on my ear and cheek. i have no idea why crackhead lady hit me. maybe her tennis game was off too. after the 32nd time my forehand went sailing out, still gaining altitude as it hit the back fence, i wanted to punch something too but i didnt. becuase im not crazy. sigh… milwaukee avenue is officially a war zone. you’ve been warned.
the silver lining to this cloud is ms. ulty who gave me a big hug and took me with her for dollar burgers at bar louie with treem and aaron. you might remember them from such posts as ‘dart gun wars on labor day’ or ‘i laughed til my spleen hurt’. they made my brutal day a little brighter. hopefully theyll make it to happy hour friday after they brave critical mass.
chin up c.u. tomorrow is bound to be brighter.

i want to hear what other people have witnessed in the war zone. i mean i got mugged once but it was like 4 am on a dark and quiet street, not 6 pm on a major thoroughfare. what is happening in this world? i read about the russells’ random acts of yuppie violence. what else? do we have to set up a C.U. neighborhood watch?

she was assaulted twice - if you missed it. Once on Milwaukee, and twice in Grant Park by my melee of violence on the tennis court… She’s not bad - I’m just that good.
