get your beach on
we just booked out tickets for battle on the beach in west palm. awwww yeeeah. we miss the flying plastic, and the sand, and the sun, and the warmth. The team is going to rock, and we’re staying with the towns. Ms. Ultimate is looking forward to mamatown’s legendary meals and v-neck sweaters and loafers on the sideline. Rumor has it lainers is going to resume her role as #1 fan. And most importantly we are going to win. Apparently it’s usually a bunch of college teams, but we don’t care – let’s win, people. Start Q1 2007 off right.

I remember, back in the day, when it was nothing but a bunch of college teams and the 3-4 local teams that went to this thing. Spring break in your middle 20s rock! Oh, those were the days. Good times. Some tips if it’s your first time:
1) splurge on the beach umbrellas. Double down taught me that.
2) hopefully you added an extra day, either side. Nothing like relaxing in Ft. Lauderdale for an extra day when it’s freezing back in Chicago.
3) pay no attention to the e.coli warnings in the water. Never stopped me.

dear lord baby jesus, please help me and claire stay entertained at work today. it is so hard since we just got tickets for BOTB and all our thoughts are at the beach already.
also becuase of a contractual obligation that soecifies that i mention high life at every grace, id just like to say that it is refreshing and we cant wait for its return to our social life in approximately 2 days and 3 hours.
