i just bought girl talk which makes me want to have a nostalgic dance party in my cube. i think it's best listened to after a sixpack of sparks. and, inspired by this, i downloaded the whistle song by juelz santana last night. rap songs are dirty.
i was about to ask if you're TBR or something, but then i remembered i got all excited this morning when i heard there was going to be a special holiday best-of prairie home companion on this saturday. i think i'll listen to that and then go to treem's hanukkah party; maybe he'll do a jews for lutherans theme.
To earlier question..new Mos Def album is like his other ones...soulful, introspective, tight. However, I've come to the decision that I like Black on Both Sides better. Yes, a new Blackstar album would be/will be amazing. I can't F******* wait.
Currently...Beck (album: Sea Change), to put me to sleep
I'm not the most attentive NPR listener, so NPR shuffle podcast is pretty sweet if you wanna a quick peek into NPR stories for the day. Having TAL on podcast is also very nice.
I only listen to NPR in the car, and I'm never in the car at 7pm on Friday nights for an hour. So TAL podcast, for free, is absolutely awesome. Relatively new too.
my coworker down here in austin is streaming british radio all day (he's british, so it's ok). so i'm listening to a whole bunch of stuff sung by guys with cool accents. i might bring a british southern drawl back to chicago with me..
Bjorn..check out The Gourds if you get a chance when you're down in Austin (prob. most famous for that country/guitar/singing version of Gin and Juice...but they are awesome)
