Since many here do play this crazy game... the first part of knowing how to play is knowing the rules. If you're eligible to vote, you shoulda got an email. But just in case...

The 11th Edition of the Rules of Ultimate is being proposed to you, the UPA membership, for approval. In order for the membership to approve the 11th Edition as the new official version of the rules, at least 600 members must vote, with a majority in favor of the new rule set.
The current 10th Edition was approved in 2001. The 11th Edition represents five years of experience, experimentation, and hard work by the Ultimate community and the UPA Standing Rules Committee. The committee will continue to help educate players, clarify rules, incorporate new rules, and work to revise and create new versions of the rules to improve the game for the future.
To vote, please go to the UPA website and log in to your online UPA account (www.upa.org/members/login.php). UPA members who were current for 2006 or are current for 2007 are eligible to vote. Please review the rules and the summary of changes from the 10th at www.upa.org/ultimate/rules/11th_proposed, and VOTE! Voting will be open through Thursday, January 11th, 2007.
