i was sitting at my desk today thinking of happy hour - remember all the good times? dinner and fat tire on the patio at pontiac, brewdizogs and pizza at piece, giordanos and PBR at the chipp inn. sadly my office holiday party is this friday. anyone who wants to crash the restaurant around 9/9:30 after real happy hour is more than welcome.
this is sort of an open question. why do we never do happy hour during the week? i mean granted when we say 'happy hour' that typically turns into an all night affair but in general, once in a while maybe we should do happy hour actually right after work. like 530-6. someplace loop or river north-ish. when were all still dressed nicely from being in the office all day and stuff.
my personal vote (and i expect bjorn to back me up here just for location's sake) is for citizen bar. sometime next week. just a thought.
it seems like tomorrow night is going to devolve quickly into sheer insanity so maybe we should start the evening off correctly. as in lemmings. 530 - 6-ish for a quick pregame ameriCAN.
Yessss. This morning I told Hendude I wanted to try a strategy of extra sleep and no drinking to cure my persistent cold, but he said that sounded like snake oil medicine. Upon further consideration I believe he's correct, and that nothing cures a cold better than bourbon.
To all who care, I will be at the peach pit tonight to watch the Buckeyes play some school the BR's would have gone to if they hadn't gone to Notre Dame.
Revision: happy hour will be at Rodan to allow for the drink of champy, because I just got into Yale! woo-hoo! We'll probably head to lemmings later though, where I'll be buying the Americans.
