We all know it, but I guess it's official now:

That's why bike riding is awesome.

One of my favorite parts of the commute in is riding by the long line of cars going south on Halsted at Lincoln and Fullerton and on the commute home the long line on Lincoln before Fullerton. Always makes me smile.

Also if I ever get around to moving, proximity to public transportation (el, metra) and a good bike route to work will be factors in choosing a location.

Maybe we should all move to Idaho instead. I read a nice article in the magazine on my flight last weekend about Boise. Sounds nice.

yes biking is far preferable to sitting in traffic any day. i have a similar 'see you suckers' moment on grand and all the way up milwaukee.

however the other chicago traffic problem with biking is that cyclists are getting killed left and right. scary stuff.

If I could get any one friend from Chicago to move to Boise, I'd go in a second. I love that place.
